'Nother log book question

From: Mischief In Wa (Mischief_wa@hotmail.com) | Date: 2001-07-23 05:00:46 UTC
You you put stamps from your own letterboxes into your log book?

I'm thinking of keeping a seperate log book (or section of my log book) for
stamps from my own boxes. As it is now, I find myself hiding these pages of
my log from my friends as I dont want to spoil the surprise for them.

My log book has found stamps in the beginning and the stamps I placed start
on the last page.

The first page of my log book is dedicated for signature stamps.
After that comes impressions of all the stamps I've found.

In the back of my logbook, I leave impressions of the stamps I've
hidden. So all three types of stamps (signature, found, and hidden)
have their own little section. =)

My "planted" stmps are in my logbook along with the found stamps - so my
book is a chronological record of my activities. I put notes next to each.

What I have started to do for my logbook is to start
carrying in the field a book of 3x5 ring bound index
cards, the type with the perforated edge, I make an
impression of the stamp on the blank side and then
make notes of my find on the other side. Day, time,
location, name of the box, something that struck me,
an idea that I had for a recipe, whatever strikes me!
Than when I get home I tear out (carefully) the card
and put it into a plastic index card holder.

I know I read something similar to this the last time
this thread was done, so I liked the idea, and started
doing it.

This lets me keep an impression of everystamp, whether
it is my signature stamp, signature stamps that I have
done for other people, boxes that i have created or
boxes that I have found. I can then file them any way
that I want to.
